Bolton CCG rated ‘outstanding’ at involving the public
Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has received a top Green Star rating by NHS England for the way it involves the public.
The Green Star has been awarded for patient and community engagement as part of the NHS Oversight Framework.
The CCG received top marks in all categories (15 out of 15), which is described as ‘outstanding’ by NHS England.
This marks the second year in a row that the CCG has achieved a Green Star, but it even improved on last year’s score of 14 out of 15.
The news follows an earlier announcement that Bolton CCG received an outstanding rating for its overall performance, including a Green Star for leadership and Green for finance.
Talking to the public, listening to their views, and taking them on board is crucial to the work of the CCG and helps it to make sure the right health services are in place for the people of Bolton.
Assessment of this indicator includes governance, annual reporting, day-to-day practice, feedback and evaluation, equalities and health inequalities - all evidenced via the CCG’s website.
All assessments were carried out before the Covid-19 pandemic.
