Dr Helen Wall, senior responsible officer for the vaccination programme in Bolton, said: “We still have a major task ahead in getting the first dose of the vaccination to everyone who is eligible. In addition, we are doing our best to make sure people can get their second dose if it has been eight weeks since their first.

“Now more than ever, as we strive towards the easing of restrictions, we must continue the vaccination programme at pace. A massive thank you to everyone who has visited one of our vaccination services so far, but please tell your friends and family that they should get their vaccination too.

“We have achieved so much in Bolton already, but the fight is not over yet. Let’s keep going!”

All sites are open to anyone in Bolton who is eligible.

At the time of writing, the national criteria included people aged 23 and over plus people at high risk of Covid-19, including the clinically extremely vulnerable and people who have a long-term health condition, carers, and health and social care workers.

Eligibility is under constant review by the JCVI and can change at short notice.

Anyone unsure about eligibility can go along to one of our vaccination services for a chat.
