Bolton vaccination services up to June 27

18/6/21

Every adult in Bolton is urged to get their Covid-19 vaccination as more walk-in services are planned over the next few days.

From today, all over 18-year-olds can officially get their vaccination at a number of local sites across the borough.

Bolton has been operating walk-in services for some time in response to the Delta Variant and the drive to get everyone vaccinated is continuing at pace as we aim for the easing of restrictions on July 19.

This weekend, the whole of the North West is taking part in a bumper Weekend of Walk-ins (WOW) to kick start efforts to get every adult vaccinated.

Dr Helen Wall, Senior Responsible Officer for the Vaccination Programme in Bolton, said: “The next four weeks are absolutely crucial to the planned easing of restrictions on July 19. The more people we can get vaccinated, the better chance we have of the restrictions being lifted as expected.

“I want to urge the people of Bolton to not put off getting their jab. They need to act now and visit one of our vaccination services. We have essentially just four weeks to get all of our over 18s vaccinated. The sooner we do this, the sooner we can get back to some sort of normality!

“In addition to this, we need people to have their second dose as this will offer the best protection and reduce the risk of them becoming seriously ill should they have the virus. We are organised, enthusiastic and determined to do as many vaccinations as we can over the next four weeks so that we can return safely to doing the things we enjoy the most.

“Let’s go Bolton!”

All sites are open to anyone in Bolton who is eligible.
