See you on the square
As you know by now, we love to chat to you and hear what you have to say about health services in our town.
We regularly attend a variety of groups all year round to tell you about any changes that might be happening and to take on board what matters to you in the world of health.
We’re constantly reviewing how we do this and recently we’ve made some positive steps towards engaging with groups and communities that we haven’t spoken to before.
In fact, as I mentioned in a previous column we have just been awarded the highest accolade for our Patient and Community Engagement as part of an overall ‘Outstanding’ rating for the CCG by NHS England.
We also love bigger events where we can talk to people who may not normally have reason to speak to their CCG.
One of these events is taking place this Thursday, August 1 on Victoria Square from 10am to 4pm and we’d love to see you there.
It’s our annual Summer Roadshow and we’ve arranged a fun-packed day for all the family to enjoy.
Hits Radio will there with some Summer tunes and there’ll be a chill out zone where you can sit back, relax and have a chat.
For families, we’ve organised a Mountain Monkeys climbing wall, giant-sized Jenga and Connect Four, plus there’s a life-sized game of Operation so you can beat the buzzer!
If you have school-age children then you’ve probably had a copy of our handy guide to staying safe and well over the holidays, Think Summer.
There’ll be plenty more on the day and our communications and engagement team will be on hand to talk you through some of the tips, and explain what NHS services are available if you need medical advice.
So make a date in your diary and we’ll see you on the square!
