Updates to the Bolton Covid-19 vaccination programme
We are now in a position to offer everyone aged 18 and over their Covid-19 booster jab three months after their second dose.
We have around 83,000 people who are now eligible, so have worked quickly with our vaccination sites to arrange extra clinics.
Most of our walk-in sites have extended their hours and added extra days to ensure everyone has the opportunity to get their life-saving vaccination before the end of December.
People can also book an appointment on the National Booking Service or by calling 119.
Omicron is more transmissible than previous variants and the booster jab will help to increase your protection against becoming seriously unwell with Covid. There is also increasing evidence that being vaccinated reduces transmission.
Don’t forget, it’s never too late to get your first and second jab, so please encourage people to get these if they haven’t already done so. All walk-in sites will continue to offer them.
We would ask people not to contact their GP practice about vaccinations as phone lines need to be kept free for other health issues.
Our website and social media channels have the most up-to-date information about clinic times and dates as they become available. People can also contact NHS Bolton CCG for help on: 01204 462125, 462157, 462028. Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Bolton callers only.
